Darlis Lillian Brown Jensen Born: May 21, 1918 near Purdy, Oklahoma to John Calvin and Treasure Mozella McDaniels Brown. Died: March 26, 2011 at the Norman Regional Hospital Age: 92 Darlis Jensen has been a lifetime resident of this area. One of 11 children, she attended school at Purdy and was a certified Nurse's aide working for McCaskill’s Nursing Home for over 20 years. She married George Jensen in 1933 and the family lived in the Hughes/Wallville area. Darlis later moved to Lindsay after her husband passed away. She was a faithful woman all of her life attending Church at Wallville and Eastside Holiness Church in Maysville. Darlis read her Bible through every year and was a great prayer warrior. She was kind, generous, and loving and always wanted everyone to have something to eat at her home. She was always very independent and even in the nursing home at Noble, she wanted to take care of the other patients. One of her little pleasures was an occasional Dr. Pepper from Sonic. Survivors: her children: Wanda Lane of Moore; Betty Wallace of Lindsay; W.F. “Dub” Jensen of Noble; and Barbara Lee of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. 1 Sister: Zelma Perry of Plainview, Texas. 14 Grandchildren, 35 Great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren. And a great number of other relatives and many friends made throughout the years. Darlis is preceded in death by her husband, George in 1984; a daughter, Doris Faye; a son, Jessie Jensen; and a granddaughter, Brenda. Also by brothers and sisters: Bud, Jewel, Duke, Ed, Lawrence, Johnny, Minnie Mae, Elsie; and by a great-great-granddaughter, Sadee. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at 2:00 pm., at the Eastside Holiness Church with Rev. Steve Mayhan and Rev.
