Minnie Lee Brown, 71, of Maysville passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on March 15, 1940 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Lonnie “Bud” and Iva Mae (Duncan) Johnson. Minnie attended school at Pauls Valley. She married Buster Brown on April 10, 1958. Minnie had lived in Maysville for most of her life. She was a homemaker, who had also worked at Storm Plastics for 5 years. Minnie enjoyed the outdoors, cookouts, camping trips, and just sitting on her front porch. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Minnie was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Maysville where she loved singing. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her husband, Buster of the home. 3 sons: Tommy Brown of Maysville; David Brown of Lexington; and Buster, Jr. “Rastus” of Maysville. 3 daughters: Debra Lawson of Maysville; Sheila Keith and her husband, Rodney of Maysville; and Pam Miller and her husband, Ron of Noble. 3 brothers: Leon Johnson, Frank Johnson, and Billy Joe Johnson all of Pauls Valley. 2 sisters: Lola Mae Clarkston of Oklahoma City and Betty Ray of Pauls Valley. 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Minnie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kerri Lynn; granddaughter, Kara Brown; brothers, Lank Johnson and Stanley Johnson; sister, Imogene Stephens. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Assembly of God Church in Maysville with Rev. Billy Davenport and Rev. Bo Gibbs officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com.
