Rosa Juanice Green

Rosa Juanice Green, 78, of Lindsay passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Lindsay Manor in Lindsay, Oklahoma. She was born February 27, 1932 at Lubbock, Texas to Veto Edward and Viola (Sevier) McCarty. Juanice had a degree in nursing and while living in California she worked as a surgical RN. On July 17, 1966, she married Loyd Green. They made their home for 45 years in Oklahoma, living in Ada before moving to Lindsay in 2000. Juanice enjoyed bible study and was a member of Erin Springs Baptist Church. She lived her life by these words: “Amazing grace is my gift to God, peace in the valley is my promise, and blessed assurance is my life praising the Lord all day long”. Juanice left 74 souls that called her Granny Green. She had a big heart for children in need. Juanice will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Loyd of the home. Daughters: Judy Ross and her husband, Robert of Modesto, California; and Carol Sanchez of Chandler, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Laura Ross of California; Shaun Ross of Washington State; Randy Ross of Hawaii; Ryan Ross of California; Regina Riley and her husband, Keith of Oklahoma; Daniel Sanchez and his wife, Jody of North Carolina; Aaron Sanchez and his wife, Brandy of Neveda. Great grandchildren: John Riley, Jade Ann Riley, Amber Riley, and Erin Riley all of Oklahoma; Koree Sanchez and Bradley Sanchez of North Carolina; Brandon Sanchez, Ryan Sanchez, and Nathan Sanchez all of Neveda. Juanice was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Leon McCarty and James McCarty. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Calvary Christian Boarding Academy, PO Box 834, Eufaula, OK 74432 Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Erin Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Hicks officiating. Burial will be in the Roff Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
