Clarence Lonnie Pharaoh Born on January 2 1920 at Okemah, Oklahoma to Lonnie and Nora Ellen White Pharaoh. Passed away on January 26, 2011 at the Veterans Center in Norman, Oklahoma Age: 91 Clarence moved to this area as a young boy. He graduated from Maysville High School in 1939. He worked at the C C Camp in Lawton working on the Osage Hills State Park and joined the Navy in 1940. Clarence was on the USS Pennsylvania at Pearl Harbor in 1941. He served for 4 years in the south Pacific on PT Boats, during WW II and during Korea. After Korea he served in the Merchant Marine until 1975, and after retirement he came home and raised cattle. During his Merchant Marine days he married Beulah Bell Spencer on September 21, 1947, at Gainesville, Texas. Clarence loved the sea and visiting all, along the way of his world travels. Survivors: 3 Sons: Doug Pharaoh of Maysville; Chris and Misty Pharaoh of Maysville; and Jeff and Karen Pharaoh of Kennywick, Washington. 1 Daughter, Rita and Larry Alexander of Maysville 1 Brother, S.V. and Betty Pharaoh of Crane, Texas Sisters: Clarice and Roy Swinney of Pauls Valley and Fannie Mae Stansbury of Lindsay Sister-in-law, Imogene Pharaoh of Norman 9 Grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Nieces and nephews and other family members and friends made all over the world. Clarence is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bell; brothers, Bill and Jimmy. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Maysville Cemetery with Marion Oden officiating under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
