Ruby Fay Ward Born: January 7, 1935 at Winfield, Alabama to Thomas M. and Margarette Couch Henderson Died: May 14, 2010 at the Norman Regional Hospital Age: 75 Ruby Ward has lived in this area most of her life. She had worked as a bookkeeper for her late husband’s business, and also worked as a clerk in a convenience store. At one time, she worked as a part-time receptionist for Winans Funeral Home. She loved bingo, Court TV, Soap operas, and loved the Kardashians on TV. Ruby loved reading and traveling. She loved her dogs ”Cricket” and “Tiffany”. She was an avid Coke drinker and was a strong-willed Granny or “GG”. She married Bill Ward on December 3, 1953, and Bill preceded her in death 2002. Ruby was a Baptist by faith. She will be missed by her many other relatives, in-laws that loved her dearly, and many friends made throughout the years. Survivors: Her Sons: Roger Self and Cheryl of Moore, Oklahoma; Wayne Ward and Kitty of Pauls Valley; and Billy Darrell Ward and Benita of Paoli. Also by 1 sister Paralee Hollingsworth of Chicago. Ruby has 5 grandchildren: Rodney Watson, Heath Watson, Billi Ward, Shandi Thomas and Jeremy Self, and by 4 great- grandchildren: Zane Watson, Tabitha Watson , Madicyn Self and Taylor Ryne Self. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband Bill; her brothers: Preston, Junior, Alfred, Ezra, and Thurmon Henderson. Also, by sisters, Carol Lou and Jo Ward. ********Funeral services will be held Monday, May 17, 2010, at 2:00 pm at the Winans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
