Elaine Goodman

Elaine Goodman, 81, of Maysville passed from this life Saturday morning, November 20, 2010 at the Norman Speciality Hospital. She was born May 10, 1929 at Louisville, Kentucky to Oliver and Dora (Andrews) Hodges. While living in Long Beach, California Elaine managed Rochelle’s Restaurant. On September 4, 1968 she married Roy Goodman. They made their home in Spokane, Washington for 18 years. Elaine was her husband’s secretary while he worked in the heating and air conditioning business. In 2001 they moved to Maysville to live. She was a Protestant by faith. Elaine is survived by her husband, Roy, of the home. Sons: Bobby Whitworth of Oakland, California; Floyd Whitworth of Oakland, California; and Michael Goodman and his wife, Katie of Maysville. Daughters: Sherry Poe of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Linda May of Louisville, Kentucky. Grandchildren: Kim Patty, Debbie Crespi, and Dewayne Gowen, Tracey May, and Michelle Conely Great grandchildren: Caeleigh Goodman, Matthew Goodman, Thomas Joiner, Stacy Simpkins, Jeremy Simpkins, Jackson, Mckenna Conley, and Maycie Conley Nephews: David Busey and Jim Busey. Great Nieces: Bonney Warden and her husband, Mike; and Leigh Gwin and her husband, Nick. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Carolyn Jo Gowen. Grave side services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Pooleville Cemetery with Rev. Jim Price officiating.
