Lorena Yvonne Beckham

Lorena Yvonne Beckham, 72, of Maysville died Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Lubbock, Texas after a sudden heart attack. She was born November 11, 1937 at Duncan, Oklahoma to Alvin Dorris and Nola Ellen (Johnson) Stewart. Yvonne had been a resident of Maysville since 1965. She graduated from high school and then attended cosmetology school to become a licensed beautician. Yvonne was self-employed as a hair dresser working in her shop in town before moving the business to her home south of town. She enjoyed watching television church, talking about Heaven, and was faithful to read her Bible every night. Yvonne’s greatest joy was her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and designing pancakes for them. Her hobbies were singing, playing the piano, reading, and baking dinner rolls and cinnamon rolls. Yvonne was a “self-less” person. She is survived by 3 children, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 3 brothers. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Calvin, and a sister, Lillian. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville, OK. Rev. Billy Davenport will officiate with burial in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
