Alson Elmore “Dal” Amos Born: May 5, 1926 at Maysville, Oklahoma to John Fininis Burns Amos and Sylvia Ellen Taylor Amos. Died: May 10, 2009 at the Veterans Center at Sulphur, Oklahoma Age: 83 Dal Amos has been in and out of Maysville for most of his life. He lived in Oklahoma and in California for a number of years. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, serving in England and Germany. Dal was a longtime auto body repairman and loved to garden and fish. His favorite pastime was to go to Gas & Go in Maysville and see and visit with his buddies. He loved his family and will certainly be missed by family and friends. He was affiliated with the Baptist Church during his lifetime. Survivors: 3 Sons: Dal Ray Amos of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Stacy Myles Amos and wife, Becky of Harbor City, California and Eric Lynn Amos and wife, Darlene of Duluth, Georgia 1 Daughter: Denise Ann Amos of Waldron, Arkansas 3 Brothers: Bob Amos, John Amos, and Joe Amos 1 Sister: AnnieAmos Chilcoat Fifer 6 Grandchildren: Joshua, Jeremy, Zack, Jessica, Christian, and Jacob 4 Great-Grandchildren: Kolten, Austin, Alexander, Sebastian, and 1 more in the oven scheduled for August ******Chapel services will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the Winans Funeal Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Henthorn officiating with burial in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville.
