Tommy Atwood Cooper, 82, of Maysville died Friday, August 20, 2010 at his home. He was born February 12, 1928 at Maysville to John Marshall and Dollie Ann (Woodward) Cooper. Tommy attended Maysville schools but with the country at war, he left school early to join the Navy SeaBees constructing runways and other facilities needed for the armed forces in Guam. He has lived in Stewart and Haywood. Tommy worked as a gas compressor mechanic in the oilfield and as a rancher. He married Ena Felter Shriver on July 7, 1997 in Abilene, Texas. Tommy enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Tommy will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Ena of the home in Maysville. Sons: Larry Cooper of Maysville; Jimmy Cooper of Haywood; Tommy Allen Cooper of Haileyville; and Shane Cooper of McAlester. Daughters: Mary Ann Huey and her husband, Roger of Maysville; Judy Sue Booker and her husband, Richard of Sand Springs. Sisters: Lois Morphis, Jenna Fain, and Sue Ann McCoy 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Tommy was preceded in death by a son, Bobby, a great grandchild, and brothers: Joe, Jack, Buck, Loyd, Floyd, and Walter and sisters: Evelyn, Wanda, Velma. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville. Rev.
