Mary Sue Wofford, 85, of Maysville passed from this life on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Norman Health Plex. She was born August 9, 1924 in Paris, Tennessee and adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Milby. Mary Sue lived in Greensburg, Kentucky until she was 18. Then she moved to Louisville, Kentucky where she met Wilburn Mays. They returned to his hometown of Maysville, Oklahoma where they were married and to this union was born 4 sons. Mary Sue worked in housekeeping at the Pauls Valley General Hospital for many years. Later she married Tony Wofford who preceded her in death. Mary Sue enjoyed taking care of her children and spending time with her grandchildren. She liked music, dancing, and playing the guitar. Mary Sue really enjoyed the many Senior Citizen’s dances that she went to weekly. She had accumulated many friends during her lifetime. Mary Sue attended the Assembly of God Church. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her sons: Roger Mays of Norman; Jural Mays of Maysville; and Jeffrey Mays and Twila Sherrell of Oklahoma City. 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren Mary Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony Wofford; and her son, Danny Mays. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Assembly of God Church in Maysville with Rev. Billy Davenport officiating.
