James Curtis Freeman Born: July 27, 1926 at Liberty Hill Community near Lindsay to Cecil H. and Gertrude Henry Freeman. Died: December 15, 2009 at his home in Lindsay. Age: 83 Mr. Freeman has been a life long resident of Garvin County. He attended school at Liberty Hill and worked on the farm with his family. Mr. Freeman married Mattie Marie Bland in 1946. They lived east of Antioch for many years and farmed and even bought and operated one of the Antioch stores. During this time the family were members of the Love Baptist Church where James was one of the first deacons and helped a great deal in getting the Church started and on solid ground. James and Marie later moved to Lindsay about 1974. Marie passed away in 1983. . Survivors: Son, Jimmy Freeman and wife, Kathy of Kingston 1 Grandson, James Bryan Freeman of Russellville, Arkansas 1 Step-grandson, Dee Gregory of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma 2 Sisters: Wanda McKenzie of Oklahoma City and Anna Blalock of Pilot Point, Texas. Other relatives are nieces and nephews and other members of the family, and a special friend, Dorothy Brantley of Lindsay. James is preceded in death by his wife, Marie and son, Eulys Ray Freeman and brother, Seth Freeman. Grave Side services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 19, 2009, at the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay, OK. Rev.
