Nona Faye Franklin

Nona Faye Franklin Born: January 7, 1933 in Oklahoma City to Ellis and Belle Walden Paul. Died: Friday, May 1, 2009 at her home in Maysville after a lengthy illness. Age: 76 Nona Faye has been a resident of Maysville all of her life. She attended Maysville schools. She attained her beauty operator’s license and worked in a number of shops and later opened her own shop adjoining her home. She was married to Kenneth Franklin on December 18, 1948 in Gainesville, Texas. Nona Faye enjoyed puzzle books, drinking cappuccino coffee and going to Wal-Mart. Nona Faye was a member of the Church of Christ of Maysville. Survivors: 2 Children: 1 Son Randy Franklin and friend, Shirley Slade of Maysville, and 1 Daughter: Sherry Carter and husband, Danny of Maysville. 1 Brother: Earl Paul of Ringold, Louisiana 4 Grandchildren: Chad Carter, Alisha Galaviz and husband, Marty, Josh Carter and Jenni Carter. Nona Fay is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth in 1999, and a son Terry in 1970. Graveside Services will be held Monday, May 4, 2009, at 2:00 pm, at the Maysville Cemetery with Danny Carter officiating with John Williams of Winans Funeral Home in charge of arrangements..
