Charlie Lee White, 68 of Maysville died suddenly on Monday, March 15, 2010 at the Purcell Municipal Hospital. He was born on December 26, 1941 at Little City, Oklahoma to Albert Lee and Lillie (McHargue) White. Charlie was raised in the Madill area, graduating from Madill High School in 1959. He served his country for 2 years in the U.S. Navy, being honorable discharged in 1962. Charlie worked in Las Vegas in 1964, drilling the ground for nuclear testing under orders from President Kennedy. He also worked in the mines of Colorado along the Continental Divide. Charlie moved to Maysville in 1969 where he began working in the oilfields as a rig operator for Ray’s Well Service and Shebester Well Service. Charlie enjoyed his family, spending time with his boys, and racing with them. He had worked on cars all of his life, and liked Model A’s and owned a ‘57 Chevy. Charlie always had the “open door policy”. He attended the First Baptist Church. Charlie will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. Survivors include his mother, Lillie White of Madill. Sons: Gary Charles White of Maysville; Royce Lee White and his wife, Gina of Blanchard; Charlie White and Michelle of Lindsay; Johnny Stephen White and his wife, Misti of Maysville. Brothers: Merl White of Madill and William Lee White of Lone Grove. Sisters: Virginia Ivester of Madill, Kathy Lassiter of Kingston, and Kay White of Fort Worth, Texas. 8 Grandchildren: Garrett White, Rylee White, Destiny White, Candace White, Krystal White, Harli White, Taylor White, and Tucker White. 1great grandchild, Raynee Lee Kuenman. Mother of his children, Sue White of Maysville. Charlie was preceded in death by his father and a great grandchild. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Maysville with Rev. Randy Allen officiating.
