Arvile Vester Fowler

Arvile Vester Fowler Born: October 3, 1928 in Arkansas to Willie Oscar and Edith Grant Fowler. Died: April 9, 2009 at the Grace Living Center in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Age: 80 Arvile has lived in this area for many years. He went to school at Katy and Satterwhite. Arvile loved to fish, raise cattle, and eat good steaks. He farmed and ranched and was a share-cropper for Arlie Bell Adams. Arvile had also lived in the Davis-Turner Falls area. Survivors: 1 Son: Glen Fowler of Blanchard, Oklahoma 2 Daughters: Pat Pyle of Rancho Cucamonga, California, and Yvonne Hawkinson of Thompson Falls, Montana. 1 Brother: Benny Fowler of Sasakawa, Oklahoma 2 Sisters: Ellen McCray and Rosa . 5 Grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way, and by other relatives and many friends of the family made throughout the years. A.V. is preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Russell Fowler; a sister, Lorene Mathis, and by brothers: Hershel, Jack, Jim, Joe, and Thurlo. Grave side services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, April 13, 2009 at the Dougherty Cemetery, south of Davis, Oklahoma, with Glen Pence officiating. Services are under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
