Eugene Calvin Dover

Eugene “Gene” Calvin Dover, Sr. was born to Lonas Lander and Florence Nelson Dover on July 25, 1937 at Blanchard, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at his home in Maysville at the age of 72 years. Gene attended Washington High School where he graduated in 1955. He married Donna Lewis at Carlsbad, New Mexico on May 21, 1984. Gene was self-employed as a permit agent for a seismograph company. Gene at one time ran the Texaco Station in Maysville, and farmed and ranched near Paoli with his dad. He really enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren, Politics in general and political talk shows on TV. He enjoyed going to Las Vegas, working and meeting new and interesting people in all of his travels working with seismograph crews. Survivors include his wife, Donna of the home in Maysville. Sons: Eugene C. Dover, Jr. and his wife, Melissa of Pauls Valley, and Patrick Dover Perry and his wife, Lei of Hawaii. Daughters: Reba Perry of Florida and Jamie Davis of Maysville. Brothers: Ray Dover and his wife, Vivian of Pauls Valley and Ronnie Dover and his wife, Jeanne of Lexington. Sisters: Theda Cudd and her husband, Jerry of Wallville, Barbara Wright of Noble, and Patricia Tomlinson of Lexington. 11 Grandchildren and by many other relatives and friends of the family. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters: Irene McPherson and Louise Murrah. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at the Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville. Ed Dexter and Troy Wright will officiate with burial in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
