Leah Irene Work

Leah Irene Work was welcomed into the arms of her Lord, September 24, 2009. She was always happy and had a very sweet, sweet spirit. Leah was born at Lawton, Oklahoma on January 30, 1981 to Laura Hunt Work and Jerry Work. She lived in the Hughes area most of her live graduating from Lindsay High School in 2001. In 2005 Leah moved to Oklahoma City. She loved to sing and she had the voice of an angel and loved singing in her church. Leah enjoyed going places with her mom and taking care of her cat, Pumpkin. She called each of her family every day just to say Hi. Leah’s life was short but she touched many. She is now happy in Heaven, but forever missed on earth. Leah leaves behind: her mom, Laura Mackey and husband, Gary of Oklahoma City; and her dad, Jerry Work of Hughes. Brother, Chad Work and wife, Michelle of Enid Niece, Mariah Work Grandparents: Jonnie and Arthur McCaleb of Hughes Lige and Katherine Work of Lindsay A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her beloved cat, Pumpkin who will all miss her greatly. She also leaves behind her precious church family at Carey Heights Baptist. She was preceded in death by her Grandpa and Grandma Hunt. Grave Side Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, September 28, 2009 at the Antioch Cemetery with Brother Carl Pelfrey officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Condolences can be sent to family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
