Loyd Arthur Bryant

Loyd A. Bryant Born: March 7, 1922, at Seminole, Oklahoma to Bertie Lee and Mary Essie Campbell Bryant. Passed from this life to Heaven: October 13, 2009, at Duncan, Oklahoma Age: 87 Mr. Bryant has lived in this area all of his life attending various schools. On May 17, 1941 he married Ozella Coody at Maysville, Oklahoma and soon after was in the United States Army during the start of WW II.. He served his Country in the European Theater, was captured and was a POW for about 2 years in Germany. After the Army he began his lifelong calling of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Loyd was a Church of Christ preacher for over 60 years, serving in a number of Churches in this area. He and his wife are currently members of the Eastside Church of Christ in Duncan. Loyd enjoyed his family, fishing, playing golf, having coffee with his friends, and just enjoyed fellowship with people in general. Survivors: His wife of 68 years, Ozella Coody Bryant of Duncan, Oklahoma 1 Son: Harvey Bryant and wife Linda of Duncan, Oklahoma 2 Daughters: Kay Patterson of Midwest City, and Carolyn Frost and husband David of Pernell, Oklahoma 3 Brothers: Virgil Bryant and wife Nellie of Duncan------ J.D. Bryant and wife Wilma of Lindsay and Floyd Bryant and wife Betty of Fresno, California, and a sister-in-law Imagene Coody of Wayne, Oklahoma. 9 Grandchildren: Michael and Nancy Frost of Duncan, Oklahoma------Christopher and Regina Frost of San Marino, California-------LeAllen and Michelle Frost of Frisco, Texas-----Chuck Ramsey and Pam of Moore, Oklahoma-----Shannon and David Townsend of Pearland, Texas----Tina Bryant of Houston, Texas----Russell Bryant and Trish of Duncan, Oklahoma---–Melissa and Jon Cervone of Seminole and Bucky and Ginny Patterson also of Seminole, Oklahoma. 20 Great Grandchildren: Brandy Patrick and Dustin---Sara, Blake and Sydnee Ramsey-----Stephen Jordon------Travis, Trevor and Tristin Frost--------Karlie Bryant, Caleb Frost, Aidan Frost, Christian Frost, Madeline Frost-------- Rowan Cervone, Dominic Bryant, Samantha Bryant, Sunshine Patterson, Autumn Patterson and Ember Patterson, and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild Alyssa Patrick. Loyd is preceded in death by his parents, 1 great- granddaughter and 3 brothers-in-law. *****Funeral services will be held Monday, October 19, 2009, at 10:00 am, at the Eastside Church of Christ, 202 North A. Street in Duncan, Oklahoma with Ron Stough and Tad McGalliard officiating , with burial in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville.
