Wynona Louise Chambers

Wynona Louise (Franklin) Chambers Born: November 24, 1932 at Maysville, Oklahoma to Thomas Cavett and Ruby Anita Pelfrey Franklin. Died: Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Norman Regional Hospital. Age: 76 Wynona has lived in Maysville all of her life. She married Lawrence Chambers in Gainesville, Texas on October 26, 1947. Lawrence preceded her in death in 1986. Wynona worked at the Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman for 27 years and before that she went to cosmetology school and operated a beauty shop in Maysville for a few years. She loved and enjoyed her family and friends. Wynona was a member of the Eastern Star and the Maysville Church of Christ. Survivors: 2 Sons: Larry Chambers of Lone Grove and Steve Chambers and his wife, Jamie of Wewoka. 2 Daughters: Andrea Jones and her husband, Rodney of Norman and Marsha Harris and her husband, Don of Maysville. A sister-in-law, Nona Fay Franklin of Maysville. 10 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. And a great number of other relatives and friends made throughout the years. Wynona is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Billy Chambers, an army combat soldier killed inn Vietnam in 1969; and 2 brothers, Wilburn Mays and Kenneth Franklin. ********Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, March 30, 2009 at the Maysville Church of Christ with Scott Furniss officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
